Exhibition Design | Branding | Publication Design | AdvertisingA Feast for the Eyes is an exhibition at the SCAD Musuem of Art that celebrates the relationship between food and art. Food has a way of bringing people together and for as long as humans have been creating art, food has played a prominent role in subject matter, often suggestive of our relationships to society, friends, family, and ourselves.
The exhibit explores food through all mediums and historical periods, and is represented through simple fruit graphics that pay homage to the traditional still life bowl of fruit. The universality of fruit as a symbol extends beyond language and culture, as alluded to in the variety of art featured. The exhibition includes interactive and experiential components and is accompanied by a booklet that provides insight into the exhibit and the featured art.
